The International Environmental Association of Odour Managers (AMIGO)

Asociación Medioambiental Internacional de Gestores del Olor (AMIGO) is a non-profit international association dedicated to promoting and spreading the importance of a proper odour management. It originates from the International Odour Conference of 2015, when different participants from different countries decided to give odour management the importance it deserves, being a reference point for companies and governments. AMIGO has experience in working with all aspects of the odour pollution problems with the industry, environmental bodies and neighbourhood associations. The Association currently has 10 members representing Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Spain, and Perú.

Carlos Diaz

Name: Carlos Nietzsche Diaz Jimenez

Function: Co-Founder AMIGO

With more than 15 years of experience in Environmental Odour Management, Carlos has been part of over 30 national and international conferences dealing with odours. He is manager of SVPA, partner of PrOlor Asociados, general director of the UTE EAKIS and co-founder of the International Environmental Association of Odour Managers (AMIGO for its acronym in Spanish). He is also a representative authorised by the Spanish Standardization Agency (AENOR) in the groups dealing with the odour standards EN13725 (CEN Technical Committee 264 Working Group 2) and the one dealing with e-noses (Working Group 41) Currently manager of SVPA, partner of PrOlor Asociados, general director of the UTE EAKIS and editor of Olores.org (Spain).

Cyntia Izquierdo

Name: Cyntia Izquierdo Zamora

Function: Technical Project Manager, SVPA

With more than 2 years of experience in odour assessment, odour modelling and odour control, Ms. Izquierdo has been working in odour management most of the time. She has been managing several projects for odour assessments, modelling and designing odour control systems. In addition she is coordinating two projects to deliver the Best Available Technologies for 2 Rendering plants, one that produces Fish oil and the other industrial plant that carries on meat processing. Currently technician of SVPA and assistant editor of Olores.org (Spain).

Vania Zorich

Name: Vania Zorich Meza

Function: Technical Director in The Synergy Group SpA (Chile)

As principal consultant of Ecometrika, has managed hundreds of odour studies, across Chile and Latin America on behalf of Authorities, Environmental consultants, and private industry. Specialties: Odour management and control, environmental pollution, conflict resolution, communication strategy, advanced chemical analysis, Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS), sensory quantification, Olfactometry,
atmospheric dispersion modelling, ambient odour levels prediction, air quality.
